About Azi Mohammadian
I’m a Canadian Clinical Counsellor and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UBC and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. I have been in the mental health field for 10 years and have previously worked as a Crisis Counsellor, Mental Health support worker, and Special Needs Teacher.
I have always been passionate about helping people and I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life! My passion for being a therapist is probably one of the first things you notice about me. When working with you I’m not only relying on my training or clinical experience, but also on the wisdom of my own personal experience. You can think of me as fellow traveler, as I have sat in the client’s chair way before I considered becoming a therapist. I practice from an integrated perspective which means I don’t only use one approach to help you. I use an approach that works best for your specific needs and circumstances. I believe that every human has the capacity to reach their potential through self-exploration and reflection. I come from a place of empathy and my main goal is to create a safe environment for my clients so they feel comfortable to share their worries and concerns. I’m not the expert on your life, you are. Regardless of where you are in your journey, you can be assured that I am on your side, every step of the way.
