Azi has always been passionate about helping people and couldn’t imagine doing anything else with her life. Her passion for being a therapist is probably one of the first things you will notice about her. When working with
you Azi is not only relying on her training or clinical experience, but also on the wisdom of her own personal experiences. You can think of her as a fellow traveller, as she has sat in the client’s chair way before she considered becoming a therapist.

She practices from an integrated perspective which means she doesn’t only use one approach to help you. Azi uses an approach that works best for your specific needs and circumstances to support each client to reach their potential through self-exploration and reflection.

Azi comes from a place of empathy and her main goal is to create a safe environment for her clients so they feel comfortable to share their worries and concerns. One of her core beliefs is continual self-care, which includes
continuing to work with her own therapist on areas she still wants to improve.

“I’m not the expert on your life, you are. You can think of me as a fellow traveller walking beside you as you go through your journey. Regardless of where you are in your journey, you can be assured that I am on your side, every step of the way. Remember pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional. Regardless of how much pain you’re going through, there are always ways to help you suffer less.”

Azi Mohammadian is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). To be an RCC you have to register and qualify to practice with BCACC. You can read about what being an RCC means you can go to BC Counsellors
