Azi is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UBC and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University.  She has been a counsellor for eight years and been in the mental health field for fourteen years and has previously worked as a Crisis Counsellor, Mental Health support worker, and Special Needs Teacher.

Sae Angelia graduated from University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of psychology degree. After searching for her career path, she decided she wanted to pursue becoming a registered clinical counsellor and earned her Masters from City University of Seattle. Sae is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and has a strong passion towards helping others. She has done several volunteering that involves supporting individuals in need of mental health support, and comes from a background of working in the mental health field for 4 years.
Sae Angelia works with her clients using modalities including ACT, CBT, Trauma-informed Therapy, Mindfulness and Somatic related therapies. She is working towards becoming certified in EMDR and other somatic related therapy modules.

Suki is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and holds a Bachelors degree in Health Science from SFU and a Master’s from Yorkville University in Counselling Psychology. She has worked in the mental health field for 9 years in roles such as mental health support worker and life skill facilitator. She has been working as a concurrent disorders counsellor and has 5 years experience in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. This shaped her knowledge in systemic oppression, substance use, and cultivated passion for working with individuals from all walks of life. Suki is trained in ACT, CBT, mindfulness, EMDR and roots her work in trauma informed practices. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, substance use, anger, self esteem, life transitions, work & career transitions, and trauma.

Joss is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and has a Master’s degree in counselling psychology from Yorkville university. She has a specialized training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and is a certified Reiki practitioner. She has been working in the mental health and social services field for the past 4 years helping individuals to grow and heal.

Joss enjoys working with variety of clients struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, trauma, intimate partner abuse , boundaries, self-esteem, grief and loss, cultural adaptation, migration, and settlement.

Hayden Johnston (He/Him/His),
Registered Clinical Counsellor

Hayden is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and he holds a Masters of Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University. Hayden has been counselling for the past 7 years and has a variety of experience working in residential treatment, high school, non-profit, and First Nation settings. Through his education and experience, Hayden has developed a humble wisdom that he brings to his work, meeting individuals where they are in life and supportively walking alongside of them in their journeys of self-discovery and personal growth. Hayden’s approach is person-centred and he is versed in DBT, CBT, Meaning Therapy, and other modalities. He is also trained in Hakomi and Mindfulness. His focus areas are anxiety, addiction, depression, trauma/PTSD, life transitions, mens issues, and relationships/attachment.

Lorna Demedeiros (She/Her/Hers),

Lorna Demedeiros is a Registered Social Worker (MSW). She has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is also a certified Complex Trauma/Child Sexual Abuse therapist. She has worked with children, teens and their families since 2013 in psychiatric hospital, government, and clinical settings. She firmly believes the connection between our mind and our body is pivotal.

She uses Attachment theory to guide her understanding of relationships and believes that everything from in utero to the present moment informs how we show up in connection with others. She is trained in EMDR, Synergetic Play Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and others. Her approach to therapy doesn’t always involve a lot of talking but rather doing.

Sarah has been working in healthcare and education for the past 15 years, gaining a wealth of experience that she is now eager to apply to her new career in counselling! Sarah is currently a practicum student completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and holds a Bachelor of Health Science from Thompson Rivers University. After a career of working with patients and healthcare students she says, “I have had the privilege of hearing the stories of the people I
have worked with and have watched their persistence to improve amid chaos and heartache. I have been blessed to witness extraordinary acts of courage in seemingly small moments, and I have seen these to be transformative. Risa has worked in the field of mental health for the past 8 years mostly in an administrative capacity and also some front-line work in suicide prevention, crisis response, and community outreach.
