Registered Clinical Counsellor
“It’s an honour to hear about my client’s hopes, goals, struggles and old pains. I am blessed to be in a job where I get to witness my clients slowly recovering their peace, happiness and livelihood. I am in love with my work.” ~ Roya
Roya holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from UBC and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UBC. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and is a member of Golden Key International Honour Society.
Roya is a gentle, compassionate and calm therapist with a wealth of knowledge and more than ten years of experience in the field of mental health. She believes there is an untouched place within each person that holds the capacity for healing and thriving. She helps her clients dive deep into their inner world, clear the turmoil and connect with that untouched place to transcend their challenges.
She also strongly believes that therapy is an art and there is no one size that fits all when it comes to counselling. When working with clients, she uses her years of experience and training to carefully tailor her therapeutic style based on her clients’ presenting issues and goals.
Roya is trained in a variety of modalities including AEDP, CBT, SP, ACT and EFT. With a special passion for healing trauma, Roya is well versed in major trauma-informed approaches and holds certifications in Clinical Trauma (CCTP-I) and Complex Trauma Treatment (CCTP-II) with the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
