Céliane Gagné (She/Her/Hers),
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Céliane is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and holds a Masters degree In Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Languages from Laval University. Having grown up with a parent living with a chronic degenerative illness in an environment where mental health was significantly stigmatized has made her to truly appreciate the importance of counselling. She has been working in the mental health field for many years doing diverse roles such as providing spiritual counselling to university students as well as supporting individuals with disabilities. She feels strongly about helping people connect with their inner truths. Her goal is to help individuals find their voice, power, and to take a stand in their life. She also likes to support clients and provide them with the safety they need to move forward with greater resilience and authenticity.

Drawing from a humanistic-existential approach, Céliane is passionate about helping others and feels strongly about providing a safe space where one can be seen and heard. She considers individuals as relational beings in constant interaction with themselves, others, and the world. She believes our process of connecting with others can be disrupted by traumatic experiences. Therefore, she strives to help individuals move toward (re)connection. Céliane works with her clients using modalities including narrative therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and somatic related therapies. She also pursued further training with the Existential Analysis Society of Canada and in Lifespan Integration techniques. Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, spirituality, and chronic illness.
When she is not working, Céliane can be found enjoying fresh forest and mountain air, rollerblading down the seawall with friends, walking barefoot somewhere, or in her kitchen cooking or baking while watching Law & Order: SVU. She also enjoys spending time at home and doing art projects.
